Tetravinylsilane (TVSi) is an important silane additive in lithium battery electrolytes, to help improve the stability of lithium batteries. As one of the important Film-forming Lithium Battery Additives, TVSi can form a CEI film containing silicate-silane polymer on the positive electrode of the battery, which can remove HF, reduce transition metal leaching inhibit side reactions, and improve battery cycling stability and service life. In addition, TVSi can form a stable SEI film on the silicon negative electrode, effectively regulating the silicon volume expansion during cycling, maintaining battery capacity, and improving cycling performance.
